The Charitable Estate Planning Institute offers an innovative, educational opportunity for practical and actionable planned giving information. Its faculty is the established “gold standard” for charitable gift and estate planning. The Institute presents a complete examination of the issues donors and their advisors face when they plan and implement their objectives. It begins with the three fundamental questions each donor must answer before considering any important charitable gift.

The Institute focuses extensively on charitable gift and estate planning.  It is beyond the basics.  This is the one source nationally for technical content that is presented in a manner that is both practical and useful to the planner’s everyday work.

Sessions include:

  • Estate-planning concepts and considerations

  • Income and transfer taxes

  • Strategically selecting the best asset(s) to give, the utility of the charitable midterm federal rate, and effective uses of the charitable  deduction

  • The differences among the types of recipient charitable organizations

  • Charitable giving motivations, constraints, and techniques

  • Ethical issues

  • A complete legislative update.

Each day concludes with the participants applying the day’s topics to practical situations they can expect to face with their own donors and clients.

What is unique about the Charitable Estate Planning Institute?  The Institute is an intensive curriculum on charitable giving techniques within the context of tax and estate planning.
